Synopsis:
In Maromme France, a suburb of Rouen, William Letourneur is arrested on March 3, 1943 by the Gestapo. A neighbor has denounced him. Although the Nazis cannot prove what his activities were for the resistance, he gets sent to the assembly camp, Compiègne. From there, he is deported to Buchenwald, then to Lublin. Whenever he can, he writes secret and official letters to his family. His wife Hélène sends him what she can. But at the end of his Odyssey, in Auschwitz, he becomes mute! Only letters, medical records, and X-rays are certificates and evidence of what he went through.
