Synopsis:
V. Devarajan is popularly known as the 'Olympic Deva' after he participated at age 18 in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. At age 22, he ranked No. 3 in the World Featherweight category. In the 1994 Bangkok World Cup, he won the bronze medal, becoming the first Indian to win a World Cup medal on foreign soil. After that, he is ignored by sports authorities and forgotten by the public and Indian Institutions. He works on railways to survive. His only connection with the sport is the 'Boxing School', where he coaches youngsters from all kind of backgrounds, especially underprivileged children without any remuneration.
