"A Stitch in time" profiles "Operation Mojari" at Rajasthan and the Kolhapuri project at Athani in Karnataka. 1.5 million people earn a living off leather-work in India. These unorganized artisans have long been saddled with outdated technology and designs. To improve the livelihood generation potential in this sector, the Government of India launched the National Leather Development Program. The UNDP was a partner in this effort.
