Synopsis:
Traditional values clash with modernity as the young generation have lost their cultural identity which is being reclaimed by a young Chiwoniso Maraire whose 'mbira music fuses the past, the present and the future for the attention of its targeted audience. Chiwoniso,"Chii" is a young Zimbabwean 'Mbira' musician born in the U.S.A, has always embraced her traditional values and her connection with her ancestors. Returning to her homeland, she found her generation in denial of these traditional values and trapped in a cultural identity crisis. In this film, she will try to use her 'mbira', a traditional Zimbabwean instrument, to try to bridge the past and the present as a way to help the youth reclaim their identit
