Synopsis:
A change has come in Kerala after 50% of all seats in the local self-government elections of 2010 were reserved for women. They have now become critical to the existence of political parties and religious organizations in the state. But Muslim women across class divides believe that political equality will be meaningless if they are denied dignity within and outside the family, if there is no reform in the personal laws governing their life.
