Synopsis:
Many people in Niger have suffered from droughts and an inability to find food. Through CARE's Village Savings and Loan program, Mamata Tinou began a cereal bank in her village of Genki. Not only has Mamata created a thriving business, the people of Genki have ample food available at all times. Mamata is now the leader of a regional federation microfinance program and respected in her community for her knowledge and skills.
