Synopsis:
A short documentary about changemaker The Granitos de Paz Foundation, based in the Rafael Nuñez barrio of Cartagena, Colombia, where they work with locals in several ways to empower them to rise above poverty. The organization provides education opportunities for people of all ages, healthy foods for children and families, a community meeting place for seniors, micro-loans for business opportunities, as well as guidance in raising patio gardens that grow healthy vegetables for family consumption and an excess of produce for sale to local, tourist-catering restaurants.
