Synopsis:
All of the plantations are covered, most of the houses are flooded, and Mr.Santarô, a 74 years old japanese migrant who brought to this Brazilian strap of land the struggle to resist and adapt, repeats the same ritual since the floods became an annual event: drives the cattle to high ground and sends his family to a shelter in the city. And, all by himself, takes care of his submerged home. Over the years, the home owners have developed a science of how to handle the floods. The water rises, but none of them think about leaving.
