Synopsis:
G 30 S is a documentary film that shows some of the challenges faced by survivors of the September 30th 2009 earthquake in West Sumatra. This terrible 7.9 magnitude quake destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes and resulted in the loss of over 1,000 lives. This film explains some of the IDEP Foundation emergency response work in the area, in cooperation with Lumbung Derma, a coalition of local NGOs who worked together to provide rapid and equitable emergency response and aid immediately following the disaster.
Thanks to support from some private donors, local businesses on Bali and The Pram Rawatt Foundation IDEP and Lumbung Derma were able to deliver hundreds of aid buckets to remote communities who, until that time, had received no assistance.
