Synopsis:
A young girl wanders like a woodnymph through the lush greenery. She is catching insects for an older man living in an allotment garden, who collects and draws them. A noisy motorway crosses over nearby, so there's a constant background noise. Then the girl abandons her bucket with a just-found valuable insect to try and tempt a smoking teenager passing by, to play with her. In one of the games you have to do the opposite of the other person: an exercise in letting go of what others do. When the teenager leaves, the girl notices that her bucket has been carried away by the incoming tide and is drifting down the river. Watching and being watched, catching and letting go: in the slow pace of a summer's day, the events unfold for each character in their own way. "Let Go" is a short film (20') about the inward conflict between the urge to distinguish and the desire to unify.
