Synopsis:
Indian Point - Nowhere to Run is a provocative program outlining the compelling reasons to shut down and decommision the Indian Point Nuclear power plants which operate within 35 miles of New York City.
After the 2001 terrorist attacks destroyed New York's Twin Towers, it was revealed that the terrorists had considered crashing the jet airliner into the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant. "Indian Point - Nowhere to Run" explores the consequences of a massive radiation release that could occur if such a plot were effectively carried out.
The film covers radiation health, reactor safety and evacuation issues with experts, community leaders and local citizens.
