Water Pressures| 56mins
Director: William Natale, Jan Thompson | Producer: Ann Feldman
Focus Years: 2013 | Country: United States
Synopsis:
Water Pressures helped create a game-changer in the global water crisis, building and documenting a collaboration between villagers in the water-distressed Thar Desert, Rajasthan, India and students at Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL, whose campus sits on Lake Michigan, one of the largest bodies of fresh water in the world. The story demonstrates how understanding, education and collaboration can lead to sustainable solutions between developing and developed countries. Over a four-year period, Water Pressures used media diplomacy to create this partnership, organizing water forums with legislative and industry leaders, and building an educational exchange between Rajasthan and Northwestern.
