Synopsis:
The film is a set of three features from the eastern region of India, West Bengal, Tripura and Assam. The stories highlight best practice examples of developmental models for education, self-employment and income-generation for remote tribal groups. These models are viewed as having the potential to be replicated in other regions.
The rubber plantation model in Tripura is an example of how integrated planning can provide livelihood in poor, insurgency-affected areas right through an entire lifetime, providing stability as an alternative to insurgency.
