Magic Mountains - Land of the Chamois| 50mins
Director: Franz Hafner | Producer: Heinrich Mayer
Focus Years: 2013 | Country: Austria
Synopsis:
In February 2013, the spotlights were on Schladming, Austria, venue of this year's alpine ski world championship. The mountains around Schladming form an impressive natural alpine winter sports arena enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of skiers and other winter sports enthusiasts. But how does wild nature come to terms with tourist crowds, ski lifts, cable cars and ski lifts and a sprawling urbanisation of hotels? That's the question driving the blue-chip wildlife documentary “Magic Mountains - Land of Chamois”. It tells the story of humans and wildlife sharing one of central Europe's most attractive natural spaces.
