The Niger River is threatened. 110 million people depend on it. By 2050, they will be 200 million. Faced with this major issue, the States concerned by the fate of the river decided on a policy of cooperation called: Shared Vision. The Niger Basin Authority (NBA) has developed its action plan for sustainable development of the basin. This includes over 600 actions, including the construction of three large dams as a solution to the main problems of drought ... Under the auspices of the NBA, states must ratify decisive action for the future of the river and populations.
