Synopsis:
Based in Mumbai, the film Half a View explores the issue of waste in India’s financial capital. The conflict between the city’s environment and urban existence is brought alive through the character of Maya, a girl living in the densely populated metropolis. Maya (or "living in an illusion") explores the commonality between the meaning of her name and the city, Mumbai. Half a View is a journey of the illusory space called a city, where the impact of one’s life on the city’s ecosystem and natural environment is not visible, hence assumed to be non-existent. This film is an attempt to evaluate and understand the connections between our aspirations, urban living and the environment.
