Fisherfolk have the potential to make an enormous difference in the success of marine conservation efforts in the Caribbean. This short documentary introduces passionate, committed fisher leaders from all over the Caribbean. In their own words, they show the importance of fisherfolk and the necessity of working together. These are people who get the need for collaboration by government, scientists, NGOs and locals. They get the seriousness of the challenges we face. They have a lot to teach us. Supporting these fishers is the path forward for successful marine conservation to benefit the fish, the fishers and all of us who depend on the sea for our lives whether we know it or not.
