Synopsis:
Shipping Great Rift: facing hunger and drought. This episode takes place along the Tana River, which rises on Mount Kenya and flows into the Indian Ocean. Along the Tana River, Geoffroy and Loïc meet many farmers and residents of neighboring villages. All they talk of is drought, hunger and difficulty of living. They embark on the river with a guard who explains the importance of respect for elders. Further, they share with farmers, the impact of drought on livestock. This is the paradox that strikes: drought and famine along the Tana river, yet rich in biodiversity delta.
