Synopsis:
UCP Wheels for Humanity has distributed and custom-fit nearly 50,000 wheelchairs to children in need in 65 countries. In Wings, director Turk Pipkin follows a chair that had carried his father for many years on an incredible journey from Pipkin’s attic to refurbishment at the Wheels warehouse in California. Finally the chair reaches a young man in Costa Rica, suffering from progressive paralysis, who is in dire need of the the great gift of mobility. Wings is an inspiring story demonstrating the ability of ordinary people to help address the needs and hardships of others.
