Quality Tags: Optimistic, Slow, Activating, Harmonizing
Synopsis:
This is the story of a woman who faces up to a terrible reality. The man who was supposed to love her is the man who tries to cut back all her self-esteem and freedom, the same as a bonsai branches can be cut back because of his owner’s whim. The essence of "Bonsai" is that living in fear is not living at all. In 2009 in Spain, 70 women were murdered by their husbands (in 2008, the number was 84). It is necessary to speak out about violence against women, as it is a universal problem that transcends national and cultural boundaries.
