Synopsis:
The illusion of success lures a man to the very threshold of glory only to unsheathe its true, frightening nature as he gets within reach. Using the classic icon of victory — a triumphal arch — as a visual metaphor, the film ponders the notion of success and glory. Where does this prideful victory meme come from? Is it conceptually analogous to the biological selfish gene, which is programmed to self-replicate at any price, including the cost of long-range self-destruction? How and why does it disable common sense so effectively, mutating after each war?
