Synopsis:
In the arid lands of north-eastern Kenya, a drought that has lasted over two years is causing a food crisis that is threatening the lives of tens of thousands of children and their families. For the pastoralist communities that have traditionally depended on livestock for the milk, meat and income that sustains them, the current drought has hit especially hard. Two years of failed rains have killed off the livestock. This film is the story of Abdulahi, who is 14 years old. Every day after school, on an empty stomach, he chisels his way through 20 feet of rock to try to build a well and save his family from the drought.
