"Cold Supper" chronicles a family of peasants. During severe winter, they hardly exist or earn a daily living. They feed and take care of their animals, and then the time comes when they must become feed. One of the cows should become a victim of the day, some members of the family participated in that terrible scene (sacrifice) with horror. At the end, the child enjoys the dinner with smile and having forgotten everything.
