Synopsis:

Since 1972, in the first week of July, thousands of people from different backgrounds, religions and beliefs journey to remote National Forests throughout the United States to spend time focusing on the 4th of July as the holy day of prayer for peace and freedom. They gather to create a sacred space to pray for world peace and to experience living temporarily in a cooperative community, in the woods, in harmony with the earth. There are no fees, no leader and no money is exchanged. The Rainbow Gathering is unique. In this 25-minute documentary, the audience meets members of the Rainbow family as they express their truth and love for mankind through personal stories, dance and music.
