In September through November of 2009, I traveled to Madagascar with the purpose of writing an article about the current state of the country for "News Africa Magazine". I decided to bring my camera along, and shoot some images at the same time. "Vanilla & My Search for Green Gold" is the result, dealing with the collapse of the vanilla industry and the resulting deforestation.
