Synopsis:
"Some Things Are Really Simple (Sommige Dingen Zijn Heel Eenvoudig)" is a claustrophobic film about a young father, Wout, who takes his identity form his hobby: swimming underwater. One day, Wout arrives at his home and finds his place in his family taken by another man. That is, a man his own age is cooking for his wife and child. An awkward situation emerges, and none of the people involved seems to know what to do. They seem to suffer from an amazing lack of maturity. Or are they only pursuing happiness in their own odd ways? The film is based on a short story of the same name by the very promising and talented Dutch writer, Sanneke van Hassel, from her award-winning collected short stories: "Witte Veder".
