Marc goes to see his mother, Annick, with the intention of telling her something important. He is, however, unable to do anything but explode and leave. He goes back to Isabelle's apartment, but stays outside and watches her through the window. Meanwhile Isabelle sits behind the piano and plays. Marc remembers what it was like between them before.... In a large hall with a big piano, Marc is taking pictures of Isabelle for a CD cover. They are very comfortable in each other's company, although a presence of someone else is felt. Marc asks Isabelle to play something for him. When he plays himself, and Isabelle asks him why he quit music, he stops. While he was taking a picture of Isabelle, she received a phone call, in which she was told that her fiancée, Jean's brother, has died. Marc goes back to see Annick and confesses his love for Isabelle to her. He also confesses the troubles he had always had because he felt that his mother had always preferred Jean because of his musical talent. Annick and Marc reconcile, as Annick tells Marc that there is nothing wrong with his love for Isabelle. Marc finds Isabelle and tells her that he loves her. After a brief argument, he explains to her that all he wants is for her to play for him....
