Eric is a twentysomething corporate guy who seems to have everything in front of him, only to find that once he starts to look, nothing is quite what it appears to be. His job is a collection of files and appointments that blend into each other indiscriminately. His employer is an organisation where belonging to a Facebook group can get you sacked. Beyond acquisitions, the corporate agenda is unclear even to Eric, who is already on his way up their corporate tree. He becomes increasingly critical of all that he himself has acquired, the perfect apartment, the high-flying job and the beautiful girlfriend. He flits between reality and lucid delusions until he regains clarity and decides on a deceptively simple course of downsizing his life. Message from the CEO is an existential whodunnit short film that leaves its audiences spellbound.
