Synopsis:
To strengthen the citizens of Guangzhou’s awareness and precaution, the local government carried out an air defense exercise. This experimental documentary shows a moment in history. At the same time, an unknown young woman is sitting on her balcony wanting to jump off it to kill herself…. As you can see from the name of this film, "The Moment", it presents a picture of the city of Guangzhou during the moments just before the air defense exercise was carried out. Using the technique of parallel recounting as well as both experimental and documentary methods, "The Moment" shows a slice of history and give us insight into what people in the different corners of the city where doing in their lives, at the same moment in time. But looking at the city at the moment of the exercise, what was the outcome of the precautions?
