Synopsis:
"Molfars" in the Carpathian Mountains (Ukraine) are those who possess unusual magic capabilities that far exceed those of any other witchdoctors and sorcerers. The word "molfar" comes from the word "molfa", which means a bewitched, enchanted object. This is a story of the Carpathian Molfar (the white magician), Michael Nechay. From his childhood years, he has treated people with the help of the herbs and magic items that he finds in the forested mountains; the ability that he inherited from his grandmother, the witchdoctor. The Molfar lives in unity with nature. He has treated people for more than fifty years. Patients come to the Molfar every day with their problems, and he helps everyone. The Molfar is able to cast out demons, to influence weather with his inner force, to predict the future, to see a person's destiny. Nechay treats people by casting spells, as well as by playing a musical instrument drymba. He lives very modestly in a small house high in the mountains.
