Synopsis:
The split between men and women in the countryside has become more sharply defined. Women, led by the village teachers, have run to religion. In spite of all these problems, some Finnish people visited the place. The film is a presentation of a village life in all its variety: school, pupils, local people, missionaries, and teachers. Their ideas about religion and themselves are a kind of the worldly wisdom of modern life.
