Synopsis:
Many times, life seems to bend, often towards side streets and repeatedly to dead-end streets. When it seemed that the next painful experience would have been the final misfortune during an unsuccessful life, suddenly everything has changed. Larynx cancer took Jurek’s voice, but the ability to defeat this fatal disease gave him a strength and a hope. One day, Jurek made two important decisions. The first one was that to build a better life for his children, to show them that life does not have to be closed in a narrow room only several meters large. And that is how the ranch came into existence. In the middle of an industrial city, opposite to blocks of urban flats, children play among animals. Goats give milk, hens give eggs, and Jurek can make his second dream come true. In every month, he saves ten zlotys and put them in the money-box. He has to collect eight hundred zlotys in order to buy a special device which, after ten years of waiting, enables him to speak. All the time he is thinking about what he is going to tell his children first. Maybe that he is proud of them, that he is very happy or that he loves them so much.
