"Hranice" is the story of a maternal (self-) sacrifice in a difficult situation set in a raw, but metaphorical environment. A young mother living in harsh conditions of a wreck yard is forced to give her baby away to a childless wealthy couple, not for the money itself but instead for the betterment of the life of her baby; a chance in life that she never had herself, and possibly could never provide for her baby, either....
