Synopsis:
A boy often traveled with his family to what was known as the 'Saltpeter Office,' which is in the old city of 'Enclavada' in the desert northeast of Antofagasta. The years have passed and just like the wind erases the days and hours from yesterday, the boy has grown-up and is now a lonely old man, Don Roberto. He decides to move to Chacabuco, where he walks along the old buildings of this town. "La Sombre de Don Roberto" or "Don Roberto's Shade" is a film that squeezes 'the hardest heart.' A testimony of humanity and madness, portrayed as sister characteristics, becomes the most horrible metaphor of what Chile was - and still is - despite the changes and the winds of the years that have passed.
