Synopsis:
Esperanza Ãlvarez, a 17-year old-secondary student in Spain during the unrest in 1975 and a couple of months before the death of Franco, is preparing her entrance exam to study medicine at university. The University represents for she and her friends the only possible way to choose, as a woman, a life beyond the kitchen and nappies. But Esperanza has not counted on the fact that, sometimes, events cross our paths threatening to change the planned direction.… Esperanza begins her own particular learner journey, which means her going from childhood to adulthood. But, Esperanza was not the only one to be making her journey, also the Spanish society had to face the challenge of becoming a “mature†democracy.
