As the fighting between the Maoists and security forces spirals out of control in the Bastar region of Chattisgarh, its Adivasi population remains trapped by fear. This is especially true for women and children, who have been the worst victims of this unending violence; women who have been raped and widowed and children who have been orphaned on both sides. The violence of corruption, displacement, hunger and poverty also continues to destroy their lives. This is their story.
