With climate change increasingly affecting the agriculture sector and the cost of production, incomes are falling. To make up for the loss in earnings, men are migrating to cities in search of jobs and women are left behind to till the land. These women in rural Bengal and Uttar Pradesh (India) do not understand the jargon of the environmental crisis, but their daily observations on how the erratic weather affects their crops and their lives spells doom for farming.
