Synopsis:
Shot over one month whilst traveling from Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan to Moscow in Russia, "Neighbourstan" examines how neighbors interact in the richly diverse countries of ex-USSR Central Asia. The film uses portraits of many different people we met along the way, giving them the opportunity to speak their minds on a variety of issues that influence ther lives. The longer version, entitled "Radiostan" and currently on a festival run, was produced through the Cinetrain scheme which every year brings together young emerging directors and crew, and travels across the ex-USSR making short docs.
