On August 21, 2008, the Judge at the Molino de Flores prison in the State of Mexico, pronounced the second sentence against Ignacio del Valle and the first against the ten comrades in prison since the repression of May 2006, for the crimes of “compared kidnapping and attacks to communication roadsâ€. Because of this, Nacho del Valle, leader of the Frente de Pueblos en Defensa de la Tierra, accumulates a 112-year sentence (45 years added to the 67 years of the first sentence) at the High Security Prison of El Altiplano, and the ten comrades a 31-year sentence at the Molino de Flores Prison. This sentence joins the list of offenses against San Salvador Atenco’s people. The criminalization of the social protest and struggle, the political intention in the judicial processes of our comrades, the judicial analogies to the liking of the legal system, the generic accusations, the lack of proofs and the weakness of the legal procedures, are only some of the elements in this unjust and aberrant process that pretends to be a hard lesson for the social movement in Mexico. This is not going to happen. The fight for the liberty of all the political prisoners of San Salvador Atenco is a daily battle that demands not only the legal but also the political struggle as the testimonies of this third video of Atenco show against the impunity prevailing in Mexico.
