Synopsis:
Spend a day in Ruby's Beauty Parlour to understand that this is a story of triumph over difficult circumstances, a triumph achieved by running a beauty business. Ruby is a beautician in a small town where before she opened hers, there were no beauty parlours. Ruby gives tips and advice to young girls and women who come to her to have their hair cut - she often talks about life and makes sure she gets paid before they leave, otherwise, as Ruby warns, you never know when they may return and relationships whether family or work, must be maintained with a 'beauticians delicate balance'.
