Synopsis:
In the 1960s and '70s, British political legend Tony Benn was the UK nuclear industry's political master, first at the Ministry of Technology, and later as Secretary of State for Energy. In this intimate and revealing film, he looks back over original news footage from his time in charge of the industry and uses the material as a prompt for memories of the challenges he faced in the role. Ranging widely over topics from institutional secrecy, to fraught industrial relations, he talks frankly about why he moved from being an enthusiastic advocate for the nuclear industry, to one of its biggest critics.
