Synopsis:
This is a documentary about famed 11th Century Persian philosopher, poet and astronomer, Khayyam.
Khayyam gained fame in England and abroad when Edward Fitzgerald published a rendition of his poetry, entitled "Rubayiat Omar Khyyam" in 1859. Khayyam's life and poetry has been subject of much debate and interest. His work and life has influenced Western and Eastern intellectual discourse and, to this day, he is revered as one of the most influential poets around the globe. This documentary is a poetic narrative that pays homage to this great man.
