Identity, family secrets and World War II. When Yvonne's grandmother was 26, she had an experience that left deep emotional scars. The county of Finnmark was burned to the ground during WWII, and she, her husband and their three little children had to flee their home or face death. Taking care of the family was always an important part of her grandmother's life, but today the family has fallen out of touch with each other. This documentary follows Yvonne's attempt to gather the family to take one last family portrait – and to find out why things turned out the way they did.
