Synopsis:
Through this documentary, the history of slavery is in the collective memory, which is celebrated by everyone here and elsewhere to allow young generations to access a true self-consciousness through better knowledge of history. May 10, 2008, Modeste Sallah (author of the song "Africaphonie") and Alain Bidjeck (the producer of the festival of the same name) meet Jimmy Cliff, Jacques Chirac (President of the Republic, at the first anniversary May 10, 2006), Christiane Taubira "instigator of the law" (Taubira passed May 10, 2001), Francoise Verges (CPME president), Richard Bohringer, Amadou and Mariam, Thierry Henry, Lilian Thuram ... to give evidence on the psychological consequences related to the history of slavery and the need to celebrate today, December 2, the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, and May 10 the "National French Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Abolition of Slavery".
