"Manatee Documentary†is a not-for-profit educational documentary about the endangered Florida manatee.
The documentary addresses such questions and issues as: What is a manatee? Why is the manatee endangered? What are the manatee’s threats and what do people and agencies, such as the FWC and FWS, as well as individuals do to protect the manatee?
The documentary explains the Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release program and shows examples of individual animals undergoing rescue, rehabilitation and in some cases a successful release back into the wild.
The goal of the documentary is to raise awareness among the public about this endangered animal, as well as pointing out to the public how we can become actively involved in its protection.
