Synopsis:
“Article 43” recounts the intense experiences of prisoners and film-makers who come together to create cinema behind bars. Despite the constraints posed by prison walls and cinematographic demands, prisoners facing heavy sentences talk frankly and without varnish of the acts that changed the course of their lives. A number of them have no idea when they will get out; they are subject to the former Article 43 of the penal code which allows dangerous criminals to be imprisoned for an indeterminate period. They await new sentences. Their liberty is in the balance even as the cameras roll. “When’s tomorrow?”
