Synopsis:
The culmination of five years of footage, Pa/Father is a documentary that offers a glimpse of the life of a forgotten scientist.
Set against the backdrop of an everyday family, Pa/Father gives a personal account of a man who tries to live with his sad memories while desperately trying to continue what he loves best - being a scientist.
Someone forgotten by his profession and battling with alcohol abuse, who still remains a central figure in his family.
In 2010, my father passed away. This film has since his viewing of it, brought us closer as father and son. He started drinking less and did a variety more work as a chemist. I will always see this film as a tool that reignited our love and passions on very separate levels, but brought us closer to one another.
