Synopsis:
SEWING HOPE: The Story of Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe captures the resilient nature of a nun who has significantly changed the lives of young women by restoring their dignity through faith, forgiveness and love.
Narrated by Forest Whitaker, who portrayed the infamous Ugandan president Idi Amin in an Oscar-winning performance in “The Last King of Scotland,†the documentary showcases both the piety and the tenacity of Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe in teaching young women how to sew; and confronting the nefarious legacy of the LRA, who, among many other atrocities, abducted young women to serve as sex slaves as well as a fighting force.
