"Being Black” is a 30-minute documentary film focused on the life of African-Americans today. Being Black was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2011. This film was begun before CNN’s “Black in America”. The film aired on WKAR-TV and a number of other Michigan PBS stations. The film was nominated for an Emmy in the Historical/Cultural Category. The film was also an official selection for the San Francisco Black Film Festival.
