Termini Imerese, Sicily, Italy: a beach covered with waste, surrounded by industrial chimneys, crowded by a great number of tourists, swimmers and sunbathers. This is a disturbing picture, a symbol of a paradoxical relationship between man and natural environment: hundreds of people in what would be a natural environment, but has instead become an industrial dumping ground.
